Career
Witt Wittmann, recipient of the James A. Rogers Creative Writing Award, is a retired teacher, editor, illustrator, poetry director for SplashHall Poetry Community Boards and a juried artist of the SC Artisans Center. Wittmann has published three books, Musing at La Poulaille (D-N P, 2003), Tat Witt (Union County Writers Press, 2002), and Echoes of Memories (D-N P, 2007). Wittmann won the NPAC Gold Medal Award for her poem “New Broom,” and the IBPC for “His Jacket.” Her poems have been featured in Flutter, Famous Poets and Poems.Com, Take Flight, and the International Old Lacers magazine, The Bulletin. Wittmann was named “Indian Trail’s (NC) Centennial Poet” in 2007.
